Jae Lee is an associate in Latham & Watkins’ Seoul office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department.

He assists in the representation of clients on a broad range of corporate matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, investments, and general commercial advice.

Prior to joining Latham, Jae served on the legal team of a leading international car manufacturer. 

In his previous role, he has gained extensive in-house experience, working on a wide range of cross border contracts and advisory matters, in addition to his transactional and dispute-related work.

Jae is qualified to practice before the California Bar. He is not registered as a Foreign Legal Consultant in Korea.

This transaction was awarded Capital Markets Deal of the Year by India Business Law Journal 2024
  • Saudi Information Technology Company in the acquisition of a 10% stake in AhnLab, a Korean cloud security technology provider
  • Warburg Pincus and MQ Logistics, a South Korea’s leading domestic third-party logistics operator and warehouse developer, in the establishment of a joint venture QUBE Industrial
  • Motional, the US$4 billion autonomous joint venture between Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv*
  • Hyundai Motor Group in the acquisition of 80% controlling stake in Boston Dynamics (then valued at US$1.1 billion)*
