Jeffrey Mispagel is a counsel in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins. He is a member of the Finance Department and the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice.

Jeffrey represents distressed companies, lenders, creditors, and shareholders in all aspects of the restructuring and reorganization process. He has particular experience representing debtors in chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganizations. His practice includes restructurings spanning diverse industries, such as retail and consumer products, energy, and pharmaceuticals.

 

Jeffrey’s experience includes representing:

  • Sundance Energy, an independent oil and gas exploration and production company operating in the Eagle Ford Shale, in connection with its pre-packaged chapter 11 proceedings
  • GNC, a leading global health and wellness brand, in connection with its chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • Monitronics International, a security alarm monitoring company, in connection with its pre-packaged chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
  • The official committee of unsecured creditors in the bankruptcy proceedings of Synergy Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company
  • Illinois Power Generating Company, a merchant electricity generation business in Illinois, in connection with its pre-packaged chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
