Jessica Saba is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.

Jessica primarily handles complex commercial litigation and trial work and has represented clients in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate level, as well as in arbitrations, in jurisdictions around the country. She has particular expertise in high-stakes trade secret litigations, including managing forensic investigations and reviews related to those disputes. In addition to her trade secret practice, Jessica has also practiced in commercial and corporate disputes, false advertising litigations, sexual abuse allegations, contract disputes, class actions, and white collar defense, including related to the False Claims Act. 

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Jessica was a clerk for Judge Ronald Lee Gilman of the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Jessica earned her JD from the University of Virginia, where she served as the assistant managing editor of the Virginia Law Review and the president of the Virginia Innocence Project Pro Bono Clinic. During law school, Jessica also interned for Judge Gene E.K. Pratter on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Jessica's experience includes representing and advising: 

  • Dalton Education in a trade secret misappropriation litigation arising from its hiring of two former employees from one of its competitors; successfully defeated motion for preliminary injunction, later won summary judgment knocking out bulk of Plaintiff’s claims
  • An American exercise equipment company in connection with multiple trade secret, false advertising, and intellectual property disputes
  • A leading technology solutions provider in connection with its trade secret misappropriation claims against former employees charged with taking and disseminating trade secrets to a competitor
  • A healthcare company in connection with trade secret and false advertising claims
  • A religious organization in connection with sexual abuse claims brought by over a dozen individuals, culminating in a three-month trial
  • Gibbons, as special counsel to Seton Hall University, on conducting an independent investigation into allegations that, while serving as Archbishop of Newark from 1986 to 2000, former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick engaged in sexual misconduct with seminarians studying at the school
  • A sports organization in more than 400 putative class actions consolidated into multi-district litigation related to concussive and sub-concussive hits in college football
  • Healthcare companies in False Claims Act litigations, as well as claims of fraud and violation of anti-kickback statutes
