John Svendsen is a litigation associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.
John represents clients in intellectual property disputes, focusing primarily on patent litigation.
Prior to joining Latham, John served as a law clerk for the Honorable Alan D. Lourie and the Honorable Pauline Newman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. John also previously participated in Latham’s summer associate program during his time in law school.
John earned his JD from New York University School of Law, where he served as a staff editor on the NYU Journal of Law & Business, and his BS in Electrical Engineering and Economics, with distinction, from the University of Virginia.
