Jonathan Rod retired from the partnership in May 2023. Jonathan was in the New York office of Latham & Watkins, where he was a member of the Finance Department. He is the former Co-Chair of the Project Development & Finance Practice, as well as the former Global Co-Chair of the Power Industry Group.
Jonathan handled a wide variety of securities and finance matters, with a principal focus on the energy, oil, gas, and infrastructure sectors. He has extensive experience in securities work, including innovative project bond financings in US capital markets.
Jonathan is ranked Band 1 by Chambers Global and Chambers USA for US Projects, and is recognized as one of the leading attorneys in the US in the project finance area.
He is named a Leading Lawyer for Project Finance, Energy Transactions, and Energy by The Legal 500 US, and recognized in Who's Who Legal - The International Who's Who of Project Finance Lawyers and Thought Leaders. Jonathan is also continually listed in The Best Lawyers in America as a recommended attorney in project finance law.
