Kevin Mak is an associate in the Singapore office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department.

Kevin’s practice focuses on a range of corporate transactions, including M&A and private equity. He also advises clients on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues.

Kevin trained and practiced in the firm’s London office, gaining a broad range of experience in project development and finance, leveraged finance, and debt capital markets matters. He was also seconded to the firm’s Singapore office, where he gained experience in M&A and private equity transactions.

Kevin’s experience includes advising:

  • Séché Environnement on the SGD605 million acquisition of ECO Industrial Environmental Engineering Pte Ltd from Beijing Capital Eco-Environment Protection Group Co., Ltd.
  • Silver Lake on the sale of its interest in Eka, a leading international provider of commodity trading and risk management software, to STG Partners
  • The underwriters on TIM S.p.A.’s €750 million senior bonds offering and a tender offer for certain maturing securities
  • A GCC sovereign wealth fund, as issuer, on its euro medium-term note program update
  • The joint lead managers on Hungarian Export-Import Bank’s US$1.25 billion bond offering of 6.125% notes due 2027
  • The underwriters on a CHF issuance by Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank pursuant to its global medium-term note program
  • Evolution Data Centres, a Singapore-based data center developer, on its programmatic joint venture with Warburg Pincus for the development of sustainable hyper-scale data centers in the fast-growing cloud markets within Southeast Asia
  • Harbour Energy on the financing and English law elements of its US$500 million Rule 144A/Regulation S senior unsecured notes offering
  • An energy company on the development and project financing of a landmark carbon capture and sequestration project in the Middle East
  • Export credit agencies in relation to the US$1.6 billion financing of the FPSO Sepetiba to be deployed in the Mero field offshore Brazil
  • Euler Hermes and the lenders on the Hermes-covered €135 million financing of an integrated agro-industrial project in Egypt, incorporating reclamation and cultivation of land and construction and operation of the world’s largest sugar beet processing plant. Named Project Finance Deal of the Year by IFLR Middle East Awards 2022 and Best Structured Finance Deal in North Africa by EMEA Finance Achievement Awards 2021
