Kimberly Legate-Ford is an associate in the Orange County office of Latham & Watkins, and is a member of the firm's Corporate Department and Real Estate Practice.

Kimberly represents clients in a broad range of real estate transactions involving acquisitions, dispositions, finance, and development of hospitality, office, industrial, and life science properties. 

While attending law school, Kimberly was editorial manager of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review

Kimberly's recent experience includes advising:

  • Realty Income, a publicly traded REIT, in its US$950 million investment in Bellagio, a resort, luxury hotel, and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Realty Income, a publicly traded REIT, in its pending US$9.3 billion merger with Spirit Realty, a REIT that invests in single tenant and commercial real estate facilities
  • A privately held investment firm on its management agreement and technical services agreement with respect to a luxury hotel in Miami, Florida
  • A real estate investment company on its US$80 million disposition of a Southern California hotel
  • DiamondRock Hospitality on its acquisitions of five hotels across the United States, including the Lake Austin Hotel (TX), and the Kimpton Goodland Hotel (FL)
  • A national real estate developer on its license agreement and technical services agreement for a Chicago hotel
  • A luxury outdoor hospitality operator on its management agreement for a glamping facility.
  • HHM, L.P. on its disposition of a Massachusetts hotel and the Courtyard San Diego.
  • Digital Realty Trust on:
    • A joint venture with GI Partners involving the US$900 million disposition of a 65% interest in two stabilized hyperscale data center buildings and their associated equipment in the Chicago metro area
    • A joint venture with Blackstone to develop four hyperscale data center campuses across three metro areas in Europe and North America
    • A joint venture with TPG to sell an 80% interest in three stabilized hyperscale data center buildings and their associated equipment in Virginia
