Lorenzo Meusburger is an associate in the Data & Technology Transactions Practice of Latham & Watkins’ London office.

Lorenzo advises on global data privacy, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and technology matters.

Prior to qualifying into Latham’s London office, Lorenzo trained at Latham’s Singapore office, where he gained a broad range of experience handling data and technology transactions across the Asia-Pacific region, bank finance matters, and capital markets transactions. He also advised issuers and underwriters on a variety of capital markets offerings across Southeast Asia.

Lorenzo also spent time on secondment to Latham’s London office where he advised US and European clients on strategic mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and corporate group restructurings.

Lorenzo’s experience includes advising:

  • A Chinese internet and digital media giant on data privacy, e-commerce, payment, and other matters relating to mobile applications, games and software in a number of jurisdictions globally, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, the US, and Vietnam
  • A global professional services firm on its “best-in-class” privacy impact assessment program globally, across its federated network to ensure all new global tools and programs are fully compliant with local privacy laws, including GDPR
  • A client in the software industry on the export control restrictions imposed by the Bureau of Industry and Security in the US Department of Commerce against a multi-national technology company.
  • A South-Korean company on Singapore securities and regulated financial instruments law for its proposed initial token offering
  • A publicly listed China-headquartered technology and internet group on its roll-out of its cloud services platform in Japan and South Korea
  • A global bank on its launch of an AI and machine learning based digital community platform to connect businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs
  • GlaxoSmithKline on its divestment of assets relating to the Bialcol and Cibalgina brands in Italy to Vemedia
  • Sony Pictures Television and Columbia Pictures on its acquisition of Silvergate Media, a company focusing on developing, producing, and licensing children’s animation with offices in both London and New York
