Lydia Franzek is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.

Lydia represents private and public companies in complex commercial, copyright, securities, and other high-stakes disputes. She has litigated cases at all levels of state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.  

Lydia also maintains a robust pro bono practice. She has advocated for victims of domestic abuse, individuals seeking political asylum, and criminal defendants appealing their convictions. 

Lydia previously served as a law clerk for Chief Justice Carlos G. Muñiz of the Florida Supreme Court. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she received the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award, served as a student fellow at the Center for Technology, Innovation, and Competition, and was an editor of the Journal of Constitutional Law.

Prior to law school, Lydia was a high school English teacher.
