Marissa Perry is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.
Marissa counsels public companies and their boards of directors in high-stakes securities class actions and other complex commercial lawsuits in both federal and state court. She has experience representing clients at both the trial and appellate level. She also defends clients in connection with investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission and US Department of Justice.
Marissa maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented survivors of sex trafficking and domestic violence.
Prior to joining Latham, Marissa was an associate at an international law firm and clerked for Judge Diana E. Murphy of the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. While in law school, Marissa was a contributing editor to the Michigan Law Review. Between undergrad and law school, she conducted research on post-World War II trials as a Fulbright Scholar in Germany.
