Melange Gavin is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Gavin advises clients in all aspects of litigation, including major motion practice, fact and expert discovery, and trial. She primarily represents clients in connection with:

  • Securities class actions
  • Securities fraud
  • Government investigations
  • Other complex, high-exposure litigation

These companies span numerous industries, including electric vehicle and automotive, biotechnology, medical devices, and financial institutions.

Ms. Gavin maintains an active pro bono practice focused on impact litigation and advocacy for survivors of domestic abuse, including recently achieving clemency for a domestic abuse survivor.

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Ms. Gavin was a summer associate in the New York and San Diego offices.

Ms. Gavin received her JD from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. While at Columbia, Ms. Gavin volunteered at a housing clinic, where she worked with clients facing a variety of housing and tenant law issues. During her time in law school, Ms. Gavin also assisted in coaching undergraduate mock trial teams.

Before attending law school, Ms. Gavin attended the University of Notre Dame where she graduated cum laude.
