Meredith Cusick is a litigation and trial associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Meredith represents a wide range of clients in the financial, private equity, technology, and biopharmaceutical sectors in an array of complex commercial litigations and trade secret disputes.

Prior to joining Latham, Meredith was a law clerk for Judge Brian M. Cogan in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Meredith sits on the firm’s Associate Committee, maintains an active pro bono practice, and received the 2020 Robert M. Dell Prize for Extraordinary Pro Bono Service. 

Meredith’s experience includes representing:

  • A global semiconductor manufacturing company in a trade secret misappropriation action under the Defend Trade Secrets Act in a hotly disputed case that reached a favorable pre-trial resolution
  • A major powersports manufacturer in a dispute with its suppliers over the suppliers’ breach of their supply agreements and failure to comply with regulatory requirements for manufacturing
  • Officers of a real estate advisory and services firm in a shareholder action in Delaware Chancery Court that reached a favorable pre-trial resolution
  • Former directors and officers of a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in litigation alleging breach of fiduciary duties
  • An international private equity firm in a joint venture dispute between two of the firm’s biotechnology portfolio companies
  • A leading venture capital firm in plaintiff-side litigation in Delaware Chancery Court alleging breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, and disclosure violations in connection with an investment in a cybersecurity company
  • A global private equity investment firm in litigation related to ownership over a national trucking and shipping company, resulting in a final award in the client’s favor following a six-day arbitration hearing
  • A leading education certification company in a trade secret misappropriation litigation that resulted in a favorable summary judgment decision knocking out the bulk of the plaintiff’s claims
