Meredith Strike is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Project Development & Finance Practice.

Ms. Strike advises a variety of financial institutions, sponsors, and developers in connection with the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, including renewable energy projects.

Before joining the Washington, D.C. office, Ms. Strike was an associate at another leading international law firm, representing development finance institutions in relation to project financings in emerging markets. Prior to that, she was a project finance associate in Latham’s New York and Singapore offices.

Before attending law school, Ms. Strike worked in the Kampala, Uganda office of an international infrastructure developer, assisting primarily with the legal aspects of power and transportation projects throughout East Africa.

Ms. Strike’s experience includes representing:

  • Commercial bank lenders in the construction financing of the 800 MW Vineyard Wind Project, the first large-scale offshore wind project in the United States
  • Venture Global in the US$13 billion financing of the Plaquemines LNG project in Louisiana
  • Commercial bank lenders in the financing of a portfolio of solar projects across the United States
  • Terra-Gen in the construction financing of the 460 MWh Valley Center battery storage project in Valley Center, California
  • A leading oil and gas company in the construction financing of carbon capture facilities in Texas
  • The lenders in the US$8.3 billion refinancing of the Ichthys LNG Project in Australia and the noteholders in a subsequent private placement refinancing
  • Middle River Power in the refinancing of a portfolio of geothermal assets in California
  • Silicon Valley Bank in the back-levered construction financing of a portfolio of Bloom Energy fuel cell electricity generators
  • The sponsor in connection with the tax equity financing of a portfolio of residential solar projects 
  • PT Pertamina EP Cepu in the US$1.84 billion project financing of gas processing facilities and pipelines located in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java, Indonesia
  • PT Pertamina (Persero) in the upgrade and expansion of the Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan, Indonesia
  • Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. in connection with its plan to design, build, own, and operate a coal-to-methanol processing and production plant in Indonesia
