Michael G. Romey has a broad range of litigation experience, with an emphasis on environmental litigation including environmental compliance, enforcement, and regulation.
He has represented clients before federal, state, and local environmental agencies in litigation related to:
Michael has developed significant experience in numerous areas of environmental compliance, enforcement, and regulation. He represents clients before federal, state, and local environmental agencies. He also counsels clients on the regulatory and liability risks associated with climate change and the legal reactions to it.
From 1999 to 2021, Michael was an adjunct professor of environmental law at the University of Southern California School of Law where he taught the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, RCRA, the Endangered Species Act, Risk Assessment, and Climate Change.
Michael is the former Global Chair of the Environmental Litigation Practice, former Co-Chair of the Product Liability, Mass Torts & Consumer Class Actions Practice, and is a member of the firm’s Environment, Land & Resources Practice.
