Mitchell Seider retired from the partnership in June 2020. He advised secured lenders, bond holders, creditors’ committees, and companies in complex and market-shaping business reorganizations and financial restructurings.
An internationally renowned and highly adaptive practitioner, Mitchell has drawn on his experience steering some of the most consequential restructuring matters in diverse industries, including oil and gas, automotive, professional sports, steel, and coal. He regularly advised on multifaceted transactions involving jurisdictions across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Mitchell has helped build consensus among competing parties by focusing them on their legal rights and practical reality.
He has received broad industry experience for his influential practice work, including by The Legal 500 US (2009-2010, 2012-2018), Chambers USA (2006-2007, 2009-2019), and Chambers Global (2011-2018).
Mitchell previously served as Global Chair of Latham & Watkins’ Restructuring & Special Situations Practice.
