Raymond Y. Lin

Retired Partner

Raymond Y. Lin retired from the partnership in May 2019. He was a member of the Corporate Department and his practice focused on representing private equity firms in mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions. In addition, he has worked on more than 20 initial public offerings representing both underwriters and issuers; debt financing transactions; debt exchange offers and consent solicitations; negotiated loan workouts and debt restructurings; negotiated acquisitions (public and private); represented lenders and borrowers in loan transactions; and has represented sponsors and investors in limited partnerships and real estate investment trusts.

Raymond has represented financial investors such as Apollo Global Management LLC, BC Partners Ltd., CPPIB and TPG Capital; and companies (or their special committees) such as Interxion Holdings N.V., Kimco Realty Corporation, Tanger Factory Outlet Centers, Inc., Verso Paper Corporation, Intelsat Ltd., Compass Minerals International, Inc. and Waterford Gaming LLC.

In 1985, Raymond was a law clerk to the Honorable Collins J. Seitz, Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Wilmington, Delaware. He presently serves on the Board of Visitors of Columbia Law School.

Raymond has been recommended in The Legal 500 US and IFLR1000 guides for his practice in Private Equity and in Chambers USA for National Capital Markets, Private Equity and Native American Law. He has been recommended in the Best Lawyers in America for gaming law.
