Rowland brought clients a sophisticated global perspective and the ability to translate international practice to a Chinese context. He drew on his experience as a partner in Latham’s California offices, and more than two decades practicing in Asia. He established Latham’s presence in Mainland China in 2005 and was resident in Shanghai to witness the evolution of market practice in PRC — including the shift toward increasingly active Chinese corporates and the burgeoning life sciences market. He skillfully leveraged Latham’s global platform, to assemble teams to handle any regulatory, IP, or corporate issues that may arise in a transaction.
