  • Live Nation, Inc. in two separate purported nationwide class actions alleging that the company violated antitrust and unfair trade practice laws by including mandatory parking fees in ticket prices; motions to dismiss granted in both and affirmed on appeal
  • PG&E Corporation in a complete defense win of a US$5.5 billion unfair competition lawsuit brought by the California Attorney General relating to the California energy crisis
  • Individual CEOs in government investigations ranging from FTC consumer protection privacy inquiries to DOJ criminal investigations, achieving significant and early dismissals
  • The Hearst Corporation in resolving private antitrust litigation and a simultaneous DOJ antitrust investigation relating to a billion-dollar multifaceted newspaper transaction
  • Oracle Corporation in a contract and unfair competition dispute with Hewlett-Packard regarding software development for the Intel Itanium microprocessor, and in a lawsuit brought by the DOJ and 10 state Attorneys General seeking to enjoin, on antitrust grounds, Oracle’s multi-billion dollar tender offer for PeopleSoft, Inc. This trial win hailed by the National Law Journal as the “Top Defense Win of 2004.”
  • Dignity Health in the full resolution and administration of a broad, 750,000+ class-action settlement involving allegations of unfair competition and false claims in patient billing practices
