Sandra Scott is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Sandra represents clients in high-stakes complex commercial disputes and has diverse experience representing institutional and individual clients, including public and private corporations in both state and federal courts across the country. 

Complementing this work, Sandra also represents clients in white-collar defense and investigations, including both government-facing investigations and internal corporate investigations. 

Sandra earned her JD from Harvard Law School. While attending law school, Sandra participated in the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic and the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic. She also completed an externship with the Employment Law Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services as part of the Harvard Employment Clinic.

In addition, Sandra served on the Harvard Human Rights Journal.

Sandra’s recent experience includes:

  • Representation of a popular venue in multiple ongoing individual and class action suits in both state and federal courts
  • Bringing suit on behalf of cooperative marketing association for breach of contract, ending favorably following a bench trial in Massachusetts federal court
  • Bringing suit on behalf of large manufacturing company in a bench trial in Delaware’s Chancery court regarding breach of contract and breach of implied covenant and seeking remedies of specific performance and injunctive relief, resulting in favorable settlement
  • Representing a large pharmaceutical company in connection with a complex commercial contract dispute
  • Representing a global media and marketing communications company in an Employee Retirement Income Security Act class action alleging that a retirement plan offered imprudent investment options, resulting in favorable settlement
  • Defending a global public company in an SEC investigation, including allegations of material disclosure violations
  • An internal investigation of a global technology company in a cross-border investigation into potential FCPA and bribery allegations
  • Conducting an internal investigation of large private company in a cross-border investigation into potential FCPA and bribery allegations
