Sarah Wang is a Special Patent Counsel in Latham’s Litigation & Trial Department in the Chicago office. Sarah's practice focuses primarily on patent litigation, with particular focus on Hatch-Waxman litigation. She has experience in taking and defending depositions, handling various aspects of fact and expert discovery, drafting dispositive motions and briefs, and preparing witnesses for depositions and trial testimony. Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Sarah practiced in New York and represented pharmaceutical companies in all stages of litigation, including at trial. During law school, Sarah was editor-in-chief of the John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law (RIPL) and was a teaching assistant for IP legal writing. Sarah is a member of the Illinois, New York, and New Jersey bars, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

  • Representing a brand pharmaceutical company in defending against multiple ANDA challengers in the District of Delaware
  • Representing a brand pharmaceutical company in defending against an ANDA challenge to patents, including defending inter partes review challenges
  • Representing a brand pharmaceutical company in defending against an ANDA challenge to patents in the District of New Jersey
