Shira Mendelsohn advises on a variety of regulatory and corporate matters. She provides counsel to broker-dealers and public and private companies.
Shira’s practice includes:
- Securities issuances, including initial and follow-on public offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and compensatory benefit plan issuances
- Regulatory guidance for broker-dealers
- FINRA Corporate Finance analysis
- US stock exchange initial and continued listing requirements
- State Blue Sky laws
Shira earned her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served on the editorial board of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law. While in law school, Shira worked with Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press as a member of the First Amendment Clinic. She previously interned at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Shira was a summer associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins prior to joining the firm full-time.
