Sumaya S. Bamakhrama advises Saudi Arabian and international clients on a broad spectrum of corporate, capital markets, and financing matters.

Sumaya counsels clients on international public and private M&A transactions. She works with issuers and investment banks on equity capital market transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs) and other security offerings, as well as on debt restructurings and conventional and Islamic financings. She has also advised on a number of regulatory matters.

Sumaya previously practiced as a summer associate at an international French law firm and as a student attorney at the International Human Rights Clinic, where she drafted reports and delivered oral arguments to the United Nations council in Geneva, Switzerland.

She was involved in several pro bono placements, where she assisted in providing free legal advice to underprivileged clients on variety of matters both in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

  • Jadwa Investment, a leading investment management and advisory firm in the Middle East, in the acquisition of a majority stake in Dabdoob Holdings, an e-commerce sector company in Kuwait
  • Corporate entities in reviewing materials and drafting due diligence reports in respect of various IPO and M&A transactions
  • Several companies in connection with their Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), in various industries
  • On debt restructurings and various conventional and Islamic facilities for high profile publicly listed and private clients and leading banks and financial institutions in Saudi Arabia
