Thomas Milleville is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice.

Thomas advises clients on all aspects of EU competition law and State aid law and represents them before the European Commission (EC) and the Belgian Competition Authority.

His experience covers several industry sectors including technology, healthcare and life sciences, environment, food, fashion, and consumer goods.

Prior to joining Latham, Thomas worked as a trainee in another international law firm based in Brussels, focusing on State aid law.

  • Grail in its acquisition by Illumina, involving first Art. 22 referral and appeal of EC taking jurisdiction, EU Phase II review, and EC gun-jumping investigation
  • Viasat Inc. in obtaining global antitrust and foreign investment approvals for its US$7.3 billion acquisition of Inmarsat
  • Farfetch in the expansion of its luxury new retail partnership, alongside Alabbar, with an agreement for Farfetch to acquire a 47.5% stake in YOOX Net-a-Porter (YNAP) and for Richemont and YNAP to each adopt Farfetch Platform Solutions
  • Cerner in its US$28.3 billion acquisition by Oracle, involving merger and FDI reviews globally, and including an unconditional EU merger clearance
  • Biscuit International, a portfolio company of Platinum Equity, in its acquisition of Continental Bakeries
  • Tenneco in obtaining global merger clearances and FDI approvals in relation to its sale to Apollo Global Management
