Yao Lin is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

Yao advises clients on corporate transactions, including both debt and equity offerings.

Prior to joining Latham, Yao earned her JD from Duke University School of Law, where she was a lead editor of the Duke Journal of Comparative & International Law. 

Yao was previously a summer associate in the London office.

Yao's experience includes advising:

  • Belron UK Finance plc in connection with its €8.1 billion (equivalent) senior secured note and term loan financing, the proceeds of which were used to pay an extraordinary dividend to its shareholders
  • The initial purchasers in connection with B&M’s (LSE: BME) offering of £250 million Reg S senior secured notes 
  • RBC Capital Markets and Berenberg in connection with Jumia Technologies AG’s (NYSE: JMIA) US$100 million at-the-market offering of 20,227,736 American Depositary Shares
  • ASDA, on its £1,750 million senior secured notes offering and concurrent tender offer
  • Synthomer plc (LSE:SYNT) in connection with its €350 million senior notes offering and concurrent tender offer for €370 million existing senior notes
  • EG Group on its €468 million and US$1,100 million senior secured notes and US$500 million senior secured PIK notes offering, as part of a complex series of related financing transactions in connection with the refinancing of its existing facility and senior secured bonds
  • Synthomer plc (LSE:SYNT) in its £276 million rights issue and share consolidation on the London Stock Exchange
