Latham & Watkins Bolsters Expanding Restructuring & Special Situations Practice with Addition of Counsel in New York
Latham & Watkins LLP1 is pleased to announce that Anupama (Anu) Yerramalli has joined the firm’s New York office as a counsel in the Restructuring & Special Situations Practice within the Finance Department. She guides debtors, official and ad hoc committees, bondholders, lenders, and other creditors and investors in both in- and out-of-court restructurings.
Yerramalli is the latest addition to Latham’s growing global Restructuring & Special Situations Practice. In the last two years the firm has added highly regarded New York partners George Davis and Andrew Parlen, Los Angeles partner Jeffrey Bjork, London partners Yen Sum and Jennifer Brennan, and Washington, D.C., counsel Andrew Sorkin.

Named a Rising Star by Law360, Emerging Leader by M&A Advisor, and an American Bankruptcy Institute 40 Under 40 honoree in its inaugural class, Yerramalli regularly advises leading domestic and multinational corporations in their restructuring initiatives spanning a range of industries, including healthcare, shipping, telecommunications, energy, and manufacturing. Yerramalli also draws on her broad corporate governance and liability management experience to help companies navigate a variety of sensitive issues that arise in connection with high-stakes insolvency matters. Yerramalli complements her company-side practice with representing creditors across the capital structure, including banks, special situation lenders, and asset acquirers in distressed situations.

Yerramalli joins Latham from Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP. She received her JD from St. John’s University School of Law and clerked for US Bankruptcy Judge Donald H. Streckroth of the District of New Jersey. She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
