Leading M&A Partner to Join Latham & Watkins in London
Latham & Watkins is pleased to announce that Sam Newhouse will join the firm’s London office as a partner in the M&A Practice and Corporate Department. Newhouse regularly advises multinational companies, financial investors and financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds, export credit agencies, and public sector bodies on a variety of complex public and private M&A, joint ventures, divestments, refinancings, and reorganisations.

Highly regarded in his field, Newhouse specialises in advising clients on big-ticket, cross-border transactions across the UK and US, and in emerging markets such as Africa and India. He also has significant experience advising company boards on a range of high-stakes activism, governance, and regulatory matters.

Newhouse joins Latham & Watkins from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. He graduated from Oxford University and completed his LPC at BPP Law School, achieving a Distinction. He qualified as a solicitor of England & Wales in 2005.
