    Rebekah L. Soule is an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Litigation & Trial Department.

    Rebekah focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, white collar defense and investigations, international arbitration, securities litigation and professional liability, and public international law. She has represented clients in state and federal courts (at the district and appellate levels), as well as in front of national and international arbitral tribunals across numerous industries.

    Prior to joining Latham, Rebekah attended New York University School of Law.

    Experience

    Rebekah's recent experience includes representing:

    • Former senior federal government officials in response to various Congressional investigations
    • A religious organization in connection with sexual abuse claims brought by over a dozen individuals, culminating in a three-month trial
    • Novenergia II Energy & Environment in connection with enforcing an arbitration award in federal court against the Kingdom of Spain under the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT)
    • An international technology company in connection with bribery allegations made by a foreign government
    • Healthcare companies in False Claims Act litigations, contract disputes, as well as claims of fraud and violation of anti-kickback statutes
    • Deutsche Bank in connection with litigation brought by several Federal Home Loan Banks under US and state securities laws in Washington, California, and Massachusetts state courts
    • A number of international construction contractors in contract disputes relating to renewable energy projects
    • A biopharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration involving a manufacturing and supply contract
    • A major beverage company in a distribution agreement dispute

    Rebekah also has significant experience representing a variety of pro bono clients in connection with human trafficking, asylum, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), as well as death penalty cases.

    Most notably, her pro bono experience includes representing:

    • Over 40 pro bono plaintiffs in one of the largest labor trafficking action law suits in US history for which the firm received The American Lawyer Global Citizenship Award 2015
    • An individual client in a federal criminal trial for racketeering and bribery allegations
