KoBold President Josh Goldman, EMR Capital EMR Executive Chairman Owen Hegarty, US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, Zambian Minister for Mines and Minerals Development Paul C. Kabuswe, and His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia have announced KoBold’s US$150 million Mingomba Deposit investment during the Biden Administration’s 2022 African Leader’s Summit.
Latham & Watkins LLP advised KoBold in the transaction with a deal team led by London partners John Balsdon and Kem Ihenacho, with associates Lisa Quelch and Hector Sants. Additional advice was provided by Houston partner Ryan Maierson, and Bay Area partner Benjamin Potter.
