Latham & Watkins Advises Lagardère News in Connection With the Minting and Distribution of NFTs Linked to Celebrity Photographs Taken by Jean-Claude Deutsch

Latham & Watkins has advised Lagardère News on a collaboration between Paris Match and Focus Bloc to grant exclusive NFT rights to 120 celebrity photographs taken by Jean-Claude Deutsch between the 60s and early 90s (Iconic models of the past collection) and owned by Paris Match.

Jean-Claude Deutsch worked for 40 years as a photographer at Paris Match and his photographs have been published in the most recognized magazines. The 120 photographs are of 25 curated iconic actors, singers, and fashion designers such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Sylvester Stallone.

The NFTs were sold via a blind mint whitelist and sold out in less than four hours.

The Latham team was led by Paris corporate partners Thomas Vogel and Jean-Luc Juhan. Advice was provided on tax matters by Paris counsel Cécile Mariotti.
