Latham & Watkins Advises Encore Consumer Capital on US$258 Million Fund Formation

Encore Consumer Capital (Encore), a private equity investment firm focused on the consumer products industry, announced that it has closed Encore Consumer Capital Fund IV, LP and related vehicles with US$258 million of commitments. Encore, founded in 2005, will continue to invest in lower middle market companies with between US$10 million and US$150 million of annual revenues targeting attractive and underserved segments of the consumer staples industry.

Latham & Watkins LLP advised Encore on the fund formation with an investment funds team led by New York partner Matthew Chase, with associate Benjamin Hoekstra. Advice was also provided on tax matters by New York partner Gregory Hannibal and New York counsel Lauren Bewley, with associate Michael Syku, and on funds regulatory matters by Chicago partner Laura Ferrell, with associates Jennifer Tian and Brian Thompson.
