Latham & Watkins Advises on the Sale of HIT Holzindustrie Torgau
Latham & Watkins LLP has advised the shareholders of HIT Holzindustrie Torgau GmbH & Co. KG (HIT), Deutsche Bank and Orchard Global Asset Management, on its sale to Mercer International Inc, a US/Canadian company listed on the NYSE. HIT is the world's largest producer of EPAL wood pallets used for shipping. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of requisite regulatory antitrust approvals, and is expected to close in the third or early fourth quarter of 2022.
