Partners Lauren Anderson, Mandy Reeves, and Anu Yerramalli, have been named to The Deal’s Top Women in Dealmaking list for 2023. The list recognizes influential women in dealmaking who have displayed excellence in their work over the last year, with a focus on M&A, private equity, restructuring, and activist investing.

Lauren Anderson, a member of Latham’s M&A and Private Equity Practice, advises clients on transactions across all sectors of the energy industry, including oil and gas, power, petro-chemical, and renewable energy and carbon capture projects, as well as in the infrastructure sector more broadly. She has recently guided a number of cutting-edge deals, including Terra-Gen Power in its sale of an 80% interest in ES 1A Finance; Sendaro Midstream in its US$600 million sale to Crestwood Equity Partners; EIG in the sale of its 49% interest in Elba Liquefaction Company; and Chevron USA in a number of deals — including its proposed joint venture with Talos Energy and Carbonvert to develop the Bayou Bend CCS offshore carbon capture and sequestration hub as well as its collaboration with Schlumberger New Energy, Microsoft, and Clean Energy Systems to develop a groundbreaking bioenergy with carbon capture and sequestration project designed to produce carbon negative power in Mendota, California.

Mandy Reeves, Global Chair of Latham’s Antitrust & Competition Practice, is widely recognized as one of the top antitrust lawyers and known as a go-to strategic advisor for some of the most recognizable brands in the world. In the last year, her work ensured global companies closed more than US$75 billion in deals following regulatory scrutiny across industries, including Oracle's US$28 billion acquisition of Cerner, AMD’s US$35 billion acquisition of Xilinx, and Amazon’s US$8.45 billion acquisition of MGM. In 2022, under Reeves’ practice group leadership, Latham prevailed in all three merger litigation actions it was involved in, including US Sugar’s acquisition of Imperial Sugar and Booz Allen Hamilton’s acquisition of EverWatch, where she was a key member of the Latham teams.

Anu Yerramalli, a member of Latham’s Restructuring & Special Situations Practice, advises debtors, official and ad hoc committees, bondholders, lenders, and other creditors and investors in some of the market’s most complex and multifaceted bankruptcies and restructurings, both in and out of court. She regularly advises on headline-making matters, including representing Mallinckrodt in its chapter 11 proceedings — successfully resolving billions of dollars of asserted tort, regulatory, and antitrust claims inclusive of thousands of opioid-related lawsuits — and Lumileds Holding B.V. in its fully consensual 45-day prepackaged chapter 11 case. Yerramalli also serves as the Women Enriching Business Committee New York Co-Chair and is a member of the Junior Advisory Board of Her Justice and the board of the New York City Bar Fund.
