Ben Bouwman is an associate in the San Francisco office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice group.

Mr. Bouwman represents public and private companies and private equity funds on strategic corporate transactions. His experience includes:

  • Public and private mergers, acquisitions, and asset sales
  • Carve-outs
  • Financing transactions, including debt and equity
  • General corporate representation

He advises clients on a broad range of matters within the software and technology, healthcare and life sciences, internet and digital media, and utilities industries.

Mr. Bouwman maintains an active pro bono practice, most recently representing individuals seeking asylum and small business entrepreneurs.

Before joining Latham, Mr. Bouwman practiced as a corporate and secured lending associate at a major Canadian law firm.

Mr. Bouwman’s experience includes representing:

  • Shift4 in its acquisition of The Giving Block
  • ArchiMed Group in its acquisition of Natus Medical Incorporated
  • dbt Labs in its acquisition of Transform Data Inc.
  • A private equity firm in its platform and follow-on acquisitions in the medical billing and collections industry
  • A large asset manager in the carve-out of certain US business units
  • Various clients in corporate governance matters
