Chris Cox is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the Private Equity and Real Estate Practices.

Chris has experience across a broad range of real estate private equity, M&A, and joint ventures transactions. He acts for sponsors, fund vehicles, and corporates on a range of acquisitions, exits, and majority and minority investments, and has experience of working on a variety of different asset classes, including science parks, hotels, data centers, and healthcare assets.

Prior to joining Latham, Chris spent 12 months on secondment at StepStone Group Real Estate as counsel in the London office.

  • L Catterton on its £1.5 billion acquisition of Hammerson PLC’s entire minority interest in Value Retail, the owner of luxury shopping destinations including Bicester Village
  • Nordic Capital on the £2.25 billion disposal of The Binding Site, a manufacturer of immunodiagnostic kits and reagents, to Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.
  • PAI Partners and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation on the sale of Refresco, one of the largest beverage contract manufacturers in the world, to KKR
  • Urbaser on the £400m sale of its UK business to FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente, an environmental services provider
  • StepStone Group on the disposal of a portfolio of data center assets located in Switzerland to STACK Infrastructure
  • Ares on the £230m sale to Aldar Properties of London Square, a London-based housing developer 
  • Aermont Capital on its acquisition of Keepmoat, one of the UK’s largest house-builders
  • TA Associates on its acquisition of Enscape, a Germany-based real-time rendering and virtual reality software business
  • StepStone Group in its investment in a portfolio of luxury hotels located in Portugal and Spain
  • Digital Realty Trust on its minority equity investment in AtlasEdge, a UK-based digital infrastructure provider
  • Brookfield Asset Management on its acquisition of the Arlington Group, a UK-based science and technology real estate business, from TPG
  • Edmond de Rothschild on its investment in Hottinger & Co, a UK-based wealth management company
  • Canva, Inc. on the acquisition of Kiln Enterprises, a UK-based data-visualization software business
  • DAZN Group in connection with corporate restructuring and sports media commercial matters
  • Landmark Dividend on the sale of its Digital billboard portfolio to Cyclone Acquisitions
  • AGC Equity on its joint venture with Iron Mountain for the acquisition and development of a data center in Germany
  • Intriva Capital on its investment in Node Living, a community-living real estate investment and operating group
  • Cohen Media Group on the acquisition of the UK-based exhibitor, distributor, and streaming platform Curzon Cinemas
  • Hansteen PLC in the disposal of its €1.3 billion German and Dutch real estate portfolio to Blackstone, and subsequent £580 million public tender offer and return of capital*
  • Canyon Partners and Bain Capital Credit, in connection with its sale of the QHotels portfolio to Aprirose for £525 million*
