Los Angeles Partner Honored for Pro Bono Work to Secure Affordable Housing
DJ Moore assisted the Hollywood Community Housing Corporation in their effort to bring affordable housing to the neighborhood.
DJ Moore helps clients obtain and defend project-siting and environmental approvals for major infrastructure, energy, and development projects. DJ provides advice and litigates claims regarding planning and zoning regulations and related environmental matters, as well as state and federal land use, and environmental laws.
DJ represents developers, land owners, institutions, and utilities before local, state and federal agencies, and he defends project approvals in court. He has helped clients obtain and defend approvals for numerous projects across the development spectrum, including the two largest seawater desalination facilities in the Western Hemisphere, medical and scientific research facilities, urban skyscrapers, mixed-use and multi-family developments, hotels and sports and entertainment complexes, oil drilling and processing facilities, and power plants and major transmission lines.
DJ has handled matters involving the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Clean Air Act, the California Subdivision Map Act, the California Coastal Act, and other air, water quality, and transportation laws. He also has experience negotiating and litigating construction and real estate disputes. DJ also advises clients regarding land use entitlements and administrative approvals in jurisdictions throughout California.
DJ is a board member of the Los Angeles City College Foundation, the Century City Chamber of Commerce, and the West Hollywood Library Foundation. He is also actively involved in Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund's Los Angeles Leadership Committee, and he has served on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section.
