Edward Brennan is a corporate associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity practice groups.

Mr. Brennan represents private equity sponsors and companies in mergers and acquisitions and other transformative corporate transactions, including competitive auction processes, platform acquisitions, add-ons, carve-outs, joint ventures, minority investments, and reorganizations. In addition to his wide breadth of experience across a variety of industries, he also specializes in advising clients in GP stakes and asset manager acquisitions.

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. Brennan served as associate general counsel at a proprietary trading firm and has previous experience at other internationally recognized law firms.

While in law school, Mr. Brennan was a member of the Biotech and Life Science Advisors Group, a non-profit consulting group comprised of cross-disciplinary graduate students advising early-stage entrepreneurs and inventors on market research, technology assessment, competitor analysis, business plan development, and overall strategy.
