Julia Lee is an associate in the Bay Area offices of Latham & Watkins. She advises clients on employee benefits and executive compensation matters.

Ms. Lee represents public and private companies and private equity funds on employee benefits and executive compensation matters relating to:

  • Corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, initial public offerings (IPOs), spin-offs, restructurings, bankruptcies, and other corporate transactions
  • Structuring and managing benefits and compensation plans and arrangements, including non-qualified deferred compensation and global equity, synthetic equity-based, or other incentive-based compensation
  • Public company representation, including preparing proxy materials and securities filings relating to executive compensation matters
  • Designing and implementing various executive compensation and other service provider arrangements, including employment, separation, severance, retention, restrictive covenant, and change in control agreements

Ms. Lee maintains an active pro bono practice and represents individuals seeking asylum and undocumented children and youth with certain histories of abuse, abandonment, or neglect to obtain lawful permanent immigration status in the United States.

Ms. Lee currently serves as a board member of Legal Access Alameda.

Ms. Lee received her JD from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she was actively involved in the Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth and dedicated over 720 hours to provide pro bono legal services through the Center for Disability and Elder Law.
