Ja Hyeon Park is an associate in the New York office of Latham & Watkins.

Ja represents both US and non-US financial institutions on regulatory matters relating to the Bank Holding Company Act, Volcker Rule, capital and liquidity issues, and enhanced prudential standards. 

She advises clients on regulatory issues on a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets offerings, fund formations, leveraged loans, and other financings.

Ja’s experience includes advising: 

  • A bank holding company on a consortium investment in an international settlement system
  • The underwriters in a convertible notes offering for a financial technology company
  • A non-US acquirer in obtaining Federal Reserve Board approval for an investment in a US bank holding company*
  • The dealers in connection with a foreign bank’s US medium term structured notes program*
  • A designated dealer of Diem coins on federal and state licensing requirements applicable to its activities with virtual asset services providers in the United States*
  • A former state-chartered bank in developing a board-level remediation policy*
  • A state-chartered bank on its internal investigation regarding compliance with anti-money laundering requirements*
