Julia Weber is an associate in the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Global Antitrust & Competition Practice. She focuses on EU and German competition law.

Ms. Weber represents international companies before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office in a wide range of competition law matters, in particular with regards to antitrust investigations, litigation, regulatory aspects, and State aid matters. She has advised clients in a number of complex and high-profile merger control proceedings and has experience across various different sectors, including technology, mobility, and transport.

Prior to joining Latham, Ms. Weber worked as an associate at another international law firm in Brussels, as a trainee at the delegation for European law of the French Council of State, and at the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Ms. Weber’s experience includes advising:

  • Alstom in its acquisition of Bombardier Transportation and its proposed €15 billion combination with Siemens*
  • Google in its US$2.1 billion acquisition of Fitbit*

  • A large international corporate group on distribution systems*
