Kennedy Holmes is an associate in the Orange County office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department and Capital Markets practice.
Kennedy advises public and private companies in the technology, life sciences, and consumer products industries. She also represents investment banks in transactions with these companies. Her practice encompasses initial public offerings (IPOs), follow-on offerings, and private placements, among other transactions.
Kennedy regularly advises companies in matters involving corporate governance, Securities Exchange Act disclosure and compliance obligations, and federal and state securities laws.
In addition to her commercial work, Kennedy serves as an office leader of the Black Lawyers Group and maintains a pro bono practice including the establishment of a national monument, advising clients on U-Visa matters, and counseling non-profits on governance matters.
Kennedy earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. While in law school, she served on the boards for the Student Bar Association and the Entertainment and Sports Law Society.
Prior to law school, Kennedy received her BA in Economics from the University of California, Merced.
