Priya Patel is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins.

Ms. Patel works on matters involving electric generation, transmission, and distribution and has assisted on matters pertaining to the Federal Power Act, the Natural Gas Act, and the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act. Ms. Patel has also assisted on reviewing issues pertaining to interconnection and associated agreements.

She advises clients on a variety of transactions within the energy industry, specifically on wind, solar, and LNG matters.

Ms. Patel maintains an active pro bono practice in immigration, representing individuals and/or families seeking asylum.

Prior to joining Latham full-time, Ms. Patel was a summer associate in the Washington, D.C. office and during her time in law school, interned for the US Department of Energy and the American Clean Power Association. Ms. Patel was also a Leadership Council for Legal Diversity Scholar at an international law firm. Ms. Patel attended The George Washington University Law School, where she served on the George Washington Law Review and the Environmental and Energy Law Association executive board.
