Samuel Chau is an associate in the London office of Latham & Watkins and is a member of the M&A and Private Equity practice.

Sam advises on private equity, M&A, and joint-venture transactions. He acts for sponsors and corporates on acquisitions, exits, and majority and minority investments. His experience spans infrastructure, energy, real estate, technology, and healthcare assets.

Sam was seconded to DWS Group's Infrastructure Private Equity fund, where he looked after the fund's investments and exits of infrastructure assets.

Before joining Latham, Sam was an associate in the Hong Kong office of a global law firm and spent time on secondment in Washington D.C. 

Sam’s experience includes advising:

  • Blackstone's joint venture with Storefriendly on its: 
    • HK$486 million acquisition of the industrial building “New Media Tower” in Hong Kong*
    • HK$283 million acquisition of the industrial building “Yip’s Chemical Building” in Hong Kong*
