Thalia Garcia is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Practice.

Thalia represents public and private companies, private equity firms, and investment banks in a broad range of complex equity and debt financing transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on and secondary equity offerings, high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, and liability management transactions. Thalia also counsels companies on general corporate and securities matters, including public reporting obligations.

Thalia maintains an active pro bono practice, representing Afghan refugees seeking asylum in the US, volunteering with the Domestic Violence Clinic through the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, and assisting with wills and estate matters for Legal Counsel for the Elderly. Thalia previously led the First Generation Professionals Group in the Washington, D.C. office.
