Stephanie Fontanes has broad experience in all aspects of finance and real estate law. She has extensive experience in structured finance, acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, ground leasing, joint venture transactions, and hotel and casino management relationships. Stephanie represents borrowers and lenders in complex finance transactions with a focus on energy and infrastructure, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. Her real estate and joint venture practice is focused on healthcare, hospitality (including gaming, hotel, and golf properties), and energy (including solar, wind, gas, and geothermal projects).
Stephanie has represented clients in mergers and acquisitions involving companies with large portfolios of retail, hospitality, and other asset types, and in the formation and negotiation of complex joint ventures for purposes of developing and operating medical office buildings, assisted living facilities, hotels, and casinos. She also has extensive experience in the negotiation of management agreements for hotels, casinos, and assisted living facilities.
In 2017, Stephanie was recognized as an Influential Woman by the San Diego Daily Transcript, in a special report honoring women making an impact across the region.
Stephanie is a member of the San Diego and Los Angeles County Bar Associations.
