Sahar Merchant is an associate in the Chicago office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Executive Compensation, Employment & Benefits Practice, focusing on labor and employment law.
Sahar advises public and private corporate clients on a broad range of employment matters concerning federal, state, and local employment laws. Her practice includes assessing and advising on all employment matters in connection with merger and acquisition transactions and drafting corresponding agreements; negotiating and drafting restrictive covenant agreements, independent contractor agreements, and sensitive separation agreements; counseling clients on all labor and employment law related matters; and drafting pre-litigation dispute correspondence.
Sahar maintains an active pro bono practice, aiding various non-profits with their day-to-day employment matters.
Prior to joining Latham, she worked as an associate of a global law firm in New York.
