    Yanis Gaoua is an associate in the Paris office of Latham & Watkins.

    Yanis advises French and international clients on all strategic aspects of French employment law, including: 

    • Day-to-day HR matters
    • Complex litigation 
    • Corporate reorganizations and downsizing

    Yanis has also strong expertise in the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including consultation of work councils, transfer of employees, and collective bargaining.

    He advises clients on a variety of transactions within financial institutions, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.

    Yanis maintains an active pro bono practice, representing associations developing social entrepreneurship and fighting against youth unemployment.

    Experience

    Yanis' experience includes advising: 

    • Bizzdesign on its acquisition of MEGA International, a global SaaS software company
    • IQ-EQ, an Astorg portfolio company, on the acquisition of Agama Group, a market-leading independent regulatory compliance firm based in France and Luxembourg
    • Cadence, a pivotal leader in electronic systems design, during the negotiations leading to a binding agreement to acquire Secure-IC, a French leading embedded security IP platform provider
    • A global medical device leader on the US$50 million Series D financing round of TriCares, a French medtech startup
    • Bridgepoint on the acquisition of LumApps
    • Inari Medical on the acquisition of LimFlow S.A. together with its subsidiaries, a medical device company developing minimally invasive venous revascularization medical devices to treat lower limb ischemia
    • Implementation, for major international groups of HR policies, notably on working-time, and contracts of employment
    • Advice and implementation of compensation and retention plans in the financial sector
    • Reorganization of companies in the chemical sector, negotiation with work councils
